My name is Sara Marinović Pavan, I’m italian-croatian. Illustrations and comics are not a job that suits me because sitting at the drawing board is a torture for me. When I do it, it's always for a cause I believe in. This is what guided me in choosing which projects getting involved with my illustrations and comics (one above all: Rabbia proteggimi, a book by Maria Edgarda Marcucci). However, in my work in the communication field in the broadest sense, deciding who to collaborate with always originates from an ethical, social and political reflection.
Whether it's through my original passions (comics, counterculture, d.i.y.) or the compromises of adult life (those to try to change things from within) I cannot conceive my existence only from an individual/individualist perspective. In short, reworking the quote from Boris Pasternak's Doctor Zhivago signed by Alexander Supertramp:
Summarizing complex contents with keywords and icons: a tool for team building, co-designing and advertising. Discover more watching this whiteboard video. Graphic facilitation can be done live during conferences and workshops (becoming what is better known as graphic recording), drawing on a canvas with colored markers or drawing digitally and projecting the step-by-step live process on a screen.
Feminism, antispeciesism, anticapitalism, veganism, freedom of choice, environmental protection, d.i.y., hacktivism.
Find the best tone of voice for a message and translate it in different visual and artistic languages (comics, videos etc) with an out-of-the-box attitude requires skills that I have developed through more than two decades in the field as well as curiosity and attractions for the unknown. Have a look to this paper-cuts video that I wrote and directed for a microcredit foundation to see this magic.
